DIY - CNC & Laser Power

Updated: Sep 13, 2019

[2019] Each project is different and each has it's own challenges and solutions.

Back in the US for the summer, we had lots of projects lined up that are going to need precision work. The bigger Stepcraft CNC [840] machine didn't travel over the Atlantic with us and stayed in France after it had done over a thousand parts during the refit period.

We needed a cnc machine - there was [unfortunately] no way around it. As we were happy with the Stepcraft 840 we got a 420 this time. It is more compact and easier to handle between the container and boat. The cnc controller can take 110V and 220V AC which is import as we use it in both "worlds".

Our latest add-on to the cnc machine is a "laser" - let's start cutting stuff.

More projects and details to come, stay tuned...
